On Saturday 5th of November 2022 the Wessex National Volleyball League Men’s team made a return to the NVL in SouthWest Division 3. After a 2 year break during the pandemic, having played in the NVL Super League prior to this, the new indoor Wessex team travelled away for the first triangular fixture of the season in Bristol.

Wessex took home wins against both Bristol Mens and Bedminster Men’s team, winning both matches 3 sets to 1.

Coach Geoff Allan said “this is a talented and ambitious young team with great potential. We are training hard, looking for perfection in every shot and improvement every week, as we are playing experienced teams”.

Experienced captain, Sam Reid, said “awesome work by the boys yesterday, I couldn’t be prouder. Bring on the rest of the season”.

Wessex Men face Exeter Storm and South Hants Men at home in Parkstone, on the 20th November.
